After successful harvests in January and March, we now have 390,194 items and 846 collections from 83 partners in Pennsylvania now represented in the DPLA. Thank you to all of our contributors for your hard work in preparing these collections for inclusion in the DPLA! We’d like to share a bit more of what we brought in through these two recent harvests and what is ahead for PA Digital.

Our January harvest included new collections from the American Philosophical Society, Heinz History Center, the PA State Archives, the Library Company of Philadelphia, the University of Pittsburgh, and Ursinus College. We also welcomed two new contributors to PA Digital with this harvest: Chester County Library and District Center and the Ulysses Library Association.

Northern Chester County Historic Photographs, Chester County Library and District Center.
Howard Etzel Photograph Collection, Detre Library & Archives, Heinz History Center.
Ulysses History, Ulysses Library Association.

Our March harvest brought in new collections from the University of Pittsburgh, the Library Company of Philadelphia, and the PA State Archives. With the completion of this harvest, we have now brought in all of Historic Pittsburgh’s collections to the DPLA through PA Digital. We’re excited to feature from our friends in Western PA through these efforts.

Historic Book Collection, University of Pittsburgh.
Settlement Registers (PA) 1792-1794, Pennsylvania State Archives.
The Game of Philadelphia Buildings Flashcards, Library Company of Philadelphia.

PA Digital has some exciting events coming up as well. We’ll be exhibiting at the PA Museums conference on April 8-9th in Chadds Ford, PA. Members of PA Digital will be heading to Chicago for DPLAfest, where Gabe Galson, Ana Enriquez, and Leanne Finnigan will be presenting. We also will share more details on an upcoming Metadata Anonymous workshop to be held in August in Pittsburgh. Check back here for more updates!
